Hello! I’m Helena — the storyteller, creator, and big kid-at-heart behind Miz Helena Books.
I’m not a formally trained author, and I never set out to become one. I simply began with a love for storytelling, a warm imagination, and the joy of sharing everyday moments in a way that families and children can connect with.
What started as simple stories inspired by life, family, and little adventures has now grown into the world of Yiayia & Sienna — a young grandmother and her bright, curious granddaughter who turn ordinary days into extraordinary memories.
I write from lived experience, not textbooks. From family moments, not classrooms. From the heart, not a rulebook.
My hope is that every story I create brings children closer to their loved ones, sparks imagination, and celebrates the bond between generations.

My Storytelling Philosophy
I believe a story should spark the imagination, warm the heart, and linger like a favourite memory. Stories aren’t just words on a page; they are doors to other worlds, invitations to wonder, and gentle guides for life’s little lessons.
Every tale I write carries a touch of whimsy, a sprinkle of humour, and a dash of curiosity — all in a voice that feels like a cosy chat over tea. I believe storytelling isn’t about perfect grammar or literary training — it’s about connection.
Through my books, keepsakes, and free kids’ activities, I want to:
- Encourage families to pause and enjoy little adventures
- Inspire kids to be curious, brave, and kind
- Celebrate the bond between generations
- Create joyful reading moments that children remember forever

The Yiayia & Sienna series brings to life the special relationship between a young grandmother and her granddaughter — inspired by real moments and real love.
